Permanent Release Device for Electromechanical Brake

The permanent release device for the electromechanical brake allows free rotation of the motor shaft even in the absence of electrical power. Specifically developed for rotating motors on cranes, this accessory for electromechanical brakes allows disengaging the safety brake, ensuring the free rotation of the motor it is coupled with. A typical application is for the "flagging" of the crane when required. The product’s strength lies in its simple construction, which translates into low costs, easy installation, and significant reliability within the recommended application range. The installation simply requires the adjustment of a special screw spacer, to be done after the electrical unlocking of the brake group on which it is mounted, and no subsequent maintenance is required. The rotation release can be performed manually by operating the lever and release button, or it can be controlled remotely following a simple procedure: electrical brake release – coil excitation – brake release – coil release.
